About The C.L.I.C.

The CLIC Project is an opportunity for students of the English program at UQAM to write and talk about Culture, Language, Identity and Community.

Aiming at starting conversations on topics concerning the wide variety of students in the programs.

At its base, you have this blog to start discussions, to share your story, your experiences, your impressions as an immigrant, a parent, a professional, etc., and/or show off your literary creations in English. Then, each year, we will hold a conference for students to give public presentations such as a lecture, speech, motivational discourse (Tedtalk), poetry, etc..

As the CLIC is run by students, it is also an opportunity for hired students to be in charge of a project to manage a blog and to organize a conference and other speaking events.

The CLIC project wishes to support students at an academic level, providing platforms to practice and improve their written and spoken English; as well as at a social level, encouraging complicity and connections within the student bodies. It's also with the intent to push the students to creativity in English.
